Commonwealth Architects assisted in the rehabilitation of Virginia State University’s Lockett Hall, one of the campus’ historic academic buildings. A significant milestone in the forward momentum of the university, the modernization of Lockett Hall returned this three-story building to an active center of learning.
The 24,000 square foot building was successfully transformed to feature Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) classrooms, teaching labs and offices. The new design supports interactive and collaborative learning and give access to advanced educational technology.
