Commonwealth Architects provided design services to Dixon Hughes Goodman in their relocation from Innsbrook to the 22,000 square foot space on the 10th floor of One James Center. DHG recognized that the future of their company was in attraction and retention of the younger professionals and wanted to incorporate a fresh, vibrate and fun atmosphere in their new space. Commonwealth Architects built on this vision to create an inspiring and inviting environment in which to do business.
Private offices were clustered, while workstations and amenity spaces were strategically located to benefit from amazing views of the river and surrounding city. The new design offers a flow and visual openness that supports a greater variety of meeting spaces to encourage collaboration and face-to-face connectivity. New workstation and office standards were developed for this 80-person firm, to maximize space efficiency.
Corporate branding and messaging can be found throughout the space. To enhance the open, light-filled ambiance, strategic placement of direct, indirect and accent lighting was incorporated into the design. Glass front offices and conference rooms were also used to allow natural light to infuse the space.
Commonwealth Architects had now been hired to assist DHG in evaluating its Chester location.
