The Clarke-Palmore House dates from the early 19th century and is located on Marion Hill, just east of downtown Richmond. The property, a former farm, consists of a brick main house, a brick pump house that was formerly a dairy, and a brick barn that was formerly a kitchen. Commonwealth Architects completed the National Register Nomination for the Henrico County property and it is now individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register.
Commonwealth Architects provided Master Planning services, structural analysis and restoration drawings for the buildings and site, and included recommendations for the future use of the property. Included in the Master Plan is a design for a new outbuilding to house ADA accessible restrooms and an on-site office.
Commonwealth Architects also restored the barn and pump house structures. With the master plan fully implemented, the property has been completely transformed into a public park.
