Commonwealth Architects partnered with Tarrant’s Bay, LLC to provide architectural services through the schematic design phase that would transform a neglected, former industrial area into a dynamic new, mixed-use waterfront community called Tarrant’s Bay. The new community features a 17-story residential tower with 482 residential units, 5-story mixed-use building, and marina with 56 boat slips. The first floor of the residential tower will include parking, a lobby, poolside lounge and bicycle storage. The mixed-use building contains a parking garage with commercial and residential spaces located along the promenade, taking full advantage of the waterfront and views.
Tarrant’s Bay is designed to be a walkable, transit-oriented development with easy access to public transportation, medical centers and river-walking trails. A pedestrian bridge, with an industrial design featuring exposed steel and glass, will connect the mixed-use building with the residential tower to the north. The development’s upscale multi-family housing, restaurants, shops and scenic coastal setting will create a vibrant live, work and play environment.
