Commonwealth Architects directed the team that developed and implemented the master plan for Anthem’s new Southeast corporate campus. Conducted in two phases, the first consisted of the design and construction of a new, five-story, 280,000 square-foot building, while the second involved the complete rehabilitation of the 265,000 square-foot, existing headquarters building.
The main lobby was moved to the new building to give emphasis to a campus environment. Landscaping, pedestrian walkways, outdoor spaces and escalators allow a convenient flow of information for employees and guests. Ai/Perkins & Will also contributed to this project.
“We have found Commonwealth Architects personnel to be proactive, cooperative and team-oriented in accomplishing the goal of each project.” — Jerry Barnes, Wayne Dishman & Rick Hughes, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
