Historic Preservation
Commonwealth Architects conducted research and extensive conservation analysis of several historic buildings at Fort Belvoir including the U.S. Army Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, the Headquarters of the 29th Infantry, the Headquarters of the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command, and the Headquarters of the 3rd Brigade, Eastern Region, Reserve Officers Training Corps. These reports include measured drawings, extensive analysis of building failures, recommendations for rehabilitation and treatment of historic materials, the production of a long-range preservation maintenance plan, and architectural plans for a design-build rehabilitation of the buildings.
